this weekend we went to cedar hill state park

cedar hill has a historic site -
- the penn farm agricultural history center -

it is an interpretation of
a tallgrass prairie farmstead from 100 years ago -

and OF COURSE we went to see it...

the park sits on joe pool lake - so naturally there is a marina...

we played on the dock...

fed the ducks...

played on the playground...

and chilled by the water...

we also took a small hike -

here's j.man waiting for us to get-it-in-gear...

i am always amazed at the fact that you can be in the middle of the city and still be in the middle of nowhere...
