memorial day

to me - memorial day is remembering your family - your ancestors - i feel like it's turned into another veterans day - not that i believe that veterans don't deserve a day - i just think that memorial day is for remembering who you are and where you came from

i have the privilege of KNOWING my grandmothers AND great grandmothers

my line is irish/prussian

i've married english/russian

i am TEXAN

i am blessed with who i am - and  where i came from

i am pleased to pass on my heritage to my boys

i thank my ancestors for their hardships and sacrifices that allow me to be where and who i am
