Christmas Day

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

we spent Christmas day at nana/papa's house

don't you feel welcomed!!!???

of course we had to spend most of the day playing with our new toys that santa left...

but when that got to be too much we went outside and "helped" papa build our tree house...

and what would Christmas be without a HUGE LUNCH!?
here is uncle j all decked out and ready to sauté....

we had a wonderful time relaxing and laughing with family around the table....

I hope that all of y'alls Christmas was as blessed with love and family!

Birthday Party for Jesus!

since we have had the boys we have started the tradition

of throwing a

birthday party for Jesus

on Christmas eve

the evening starts with dinner

and then papa reads from the bible

the story of the birth of Christ

then we put on our party hats,

decorated the birthday cupcakes that nana made,

sang happy birthday to Jesus

and then everyone blew out their candle!!!

here we are all dressed for bed and awaiting presents

Crim Family Christmas

this weekend we celebrated Christmas with the "crim family" -

we had fun playing with all of our cousins.... d$

ICE

nonnie was in town this week and we all went to the gaylord texan to see...http://www.gaylordhotels.com/gaylord-texan/special-events/grapevine-dallas-events/ice/index.html

here are a few facts about the ICE exhibit...

1. it's 9 degrees inside the exhibit

2. 2 million pounds of ice make up the exhibit

3. it's 9 degrees inside the exhibit

4. artisans from china sculpted the 14,000 square foot exhibit

5. it's 9 degrees inside the exhibit

despite THE COLD we had a fantastic time!!!!

the exhibit ends with a beautiful nativity...

we had a lot of fun and plan to return for all the other "cool stuff" that the gaylord texan has to offer during the holiday

we spent thanksgiving at nana/papa's house and as it is with every trip to nana/papa's house

we spent time with the babies -

here are a few now...

toby and boo

the goats (they have names but I don't know what they are) and pasquale the donkey...

and magnolia the bird....

we also spent time just hanging out....

and riding the motorcycles.....

but mostly we ate great food......

and spent time with family.....

i hope that y'all had a blessed thanksgiving too!!

SUPRISE - WE WENT CAMPING!!!!!!!!!

the incredible camping crims are at it again!!!!

this last weekend we went to fairfield state park -

were - despite the cold AND the burn ban - we had a great time experiencing fall fairfield state park just happens to be "close" to nana/papa's house - so they came down for the afternoon - they REALLY love those boys - why else leave your cozy home and trek out into the freezing woods during a burn ban!!!!!

not only was there a burn ban BUT we also ran across these "warnings"....



we actually saw a "camp robber" as well as a wild hog -
as i'm sure you can imagine - the boys were EXTREMELY impressed!!!!!!

in spite of all the cold, thieves and wild animals we crim's had a fun time as usual!!

we rode bikes to the park.....

who knows - maybe hanging upside down keeps you warm????!!!!!

fairfield state park sits on fairfield lake - which is warmed by a utility plant

apparently this makes for great winter fishing

fairfield lake holds the record for the largest inland red drum (44 inches, 36.83 lbs.) -

we don't fish but we love to hike/trek around hill and dale - and fairfield has some great ravines/creek beds/trails

we found this AWESOME tree - it was gi-normus and perfect for climbing!!!!!

Mr. J - Kindergarten Teacher

today is

"dress like a teacher" day @ school

j.man was so excited to be "in-charge"

he chose his outfit and had me make him an I.D. badge!!!

as with most things j.man - there was a little twist to the excitement -

we all had to dress as super heroes!!!!!
