the post where i finally put down the events of spring break because i'm so dang busy i can't see straight and when i finally see the light at the end of the tunnel there's another holiday in which i will want to post - harummph

our hill country vacation

 

we left home on wednesday and traveled south to georgetown -

were we visited...

 

 

we pass by this cavern all the time but this was our first visit...

 

going into the cave

neat cave formations....

once we left inner space we continued south into new braunfels were we set up camp

 

thursday morning we woke up here....

the camp site was right on the river...

after spending some time hanging out on the river -

we cleaned up and headed into....

 

first we grabbed some dinner here - fun tacos on the porch...
 

 

then we headed here...

we had a great time! i always LOVE gruene!!!

on friday the boys woke up raring to go...

so with their handy dandy hatchet....

 



 

and a good breakfast.....

it was off to the river.....

this is what zombies look like when floating the river -

i mean - just in case you needed to know.....

once again - that night we cleaned up and headed into....

we ate some awesome burgers with our shiner and lone star beers

and we sat around and enjoyed the music....

there were chickens/roosters everywhere....

 

 

then the band came on and we headed into the dance hall....

saturday we woke up and instead of heading to the guadalupe river

we headed to the rio san antone

 

we parked the truck and grabbed a trolley....

 

and went straight to the river walk

which was green for st pat's weekend - of course!!!

 



we ate on the river walk at....

 

then headed to the ALAMO!!

 

no self respecting san antonio visitor and or texan can go with out seeing the alamo!!

 

out of all the museums in san antonio -
the boys chose to go to this one!!!

 

 

then it was back on this guy....

which was OH-SO-CROWDED

 

and we headed to....

 

 

where we discovered why the trolley was crowded!!!! 

 

of course the tejano music awards are being held at the mercado while we're in san antonio!!!!!

CHAOS!!!!!

 

so home/camper it was

 

then on sunday we woke up and geared up for

st. pat's.....

 

and headed home
