birthday weekend!!

the weekend started off with a call from our sweet neighbors who asked if we could come over to swim and eat cookie cake in honor of g.money!!!!

tell me about it - we have the BEST neighbors!!

then on saturday we celebrated at...

a "family fun center" where you can play games and "stuff"

first he had a transformer tank cake....

think he likes it?

then he opened presents...

then the whole bunch went "bonkers" in this ridiculously large indoor playground!!!!

here are some of our friends and family now...

but if you know us - there has to be more to a birthday than just a party!!!!

so off we went to see our cousins in round rock

where we swam and swam and swam...

then of course we had to go eat a birthday meal...

were he wore a silly hat and ate AWESOME birthday ice cream!!!!

thank all of you who celebrated, called, sent emails, texts and cards, and took part in my not-so-baby-anymore birthday celebration!!

W.eek O.f W.orship

this week the boys and i attended w.eek o.f w.orship at our church -

instead of doing 2 different activities - vbs (bible study) and kids praize days (music day camp) our church combined the 2 and had one whole week of learning GOD's word and learning how to worship HIM in song

which i had the delight of teaching -

every day the boys got to make a craft - they made arm bracelets, an inflatable guitar, colored their own guitar pics, a visor and we got the chance to draw a picture and write a note inside bibles that will go to our military

also - everyday there was a special event or field trip - the first day they had a performer who told jokes and put on a puppet show...

j.man thought he was extremely funny!!

they also played putt-putt, rode go-carts, played video games at the local putt-putt place...

and went to the local pool/water park - this is one of our friends - the boys were too fast and i couldn't get any pictures of them:-(

today we celebrated our nation's birthday by hanging out with friends and family

we began the day by watching all of our baby birds (there are 3 nests and about 15 million babies on and around our house:-) this little guy had "flown the coop" a bit too early and can't seem to get himself back up into the nest - but his mama is still feeding him so I think he's going to be okay - look - he's still "fuzzy"

then we ran errands and ended up at Rosa's for lunch - nothing like cheap tacos to make a girl happy:-)

back at home we hung out in the back yard...

and played with the dogs...

then it was time for dinner - we made chicken and rice in the dutch oven - yummy!

and then it was time for FIREWORKS at the...

every year we go to the sonic parking lot and hang out in our lawn chairs until the show begins - we've been doing this for years and we talk it up every year so -

look who we ran into this year!!!:-)

the fireworks were great and all but i really enjoyed just hanging out afterwards on the sidewalk waiting for all the traffic to disperse -

and of course you know mr.crim had to "do-it-up"!!!

all said and done we had a great 4th!
